Trullo Esteso

A private road winds up through the groves, and once you arrive, the world simply stops reaching you. Trullo Esteso is for anyone who needs deep, unhurried calm.

There's a particular stillness to the Puglian countryside. Trullo Esteso sits right in the middle of it.

Tucked away in the olive groves outside Ostuni, in the heart of Puglia, Italy, the world keeps its distance and the silence settles over you within an hour of arriving. This is somewhere to do very little, beautifully.

To swim, to read in the shade of the pergola, to eat slowly outside as the evening comes in. No noise, no rush, no reason to be anywhere else.

The Trullo

Trullo Esteso is an authentic Apulian trullo, built in the traditional way, with thick whitewashed stone walls that stay cool through the summer. It holds two bedrooms and three bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room, all finished with care. The trullo's cones rise overhead inside, centuries old and beautifully restored. There's everything you need for an easy, comfortable stay and nothing you don't - the building itself, and the quiet it holds, is the point.

The Setting

Outside is where the days happen. A panoramic saltwater pool looks out over the open countryside, with a heated outdoor shower beside it and a shaded pergola for long lunches. As the light fades, a small seating area with a brazier is the place to sit out under the stars. All around lie the olive groves and dry stone walls of the Ostuni landscape, with the white hill town itself - and the Adriatic coast - just a few minutes away when you want them.
