A treehouse set high beneath an ancient oak in the woodlands near Richmond, North Yorkshire. Suspended above the running water of Sand Beck, there’s nothing around you but trees, birdsong and the soft rush of the water below.
With no other accommodation on the site - it’s just you, the canopy, and the valley falling away through the branches. It's a place built for one thing:

The Treehouse
Cocooned in the trees, The Pines is designed around its views. The mezzanine bedroom looks out through a huge round window into the canopy, and the living space opens onto decks suspended among the branches. There's a wood-fired hot tub that lights up after dark, a floating fireplace for cooler evenings, and a covered dining area for slow meals as the light fades. A newer lower deck sits closer still to the beck, where the sound of the water is all you can hear. Everything here is arranged so you can stop, and stay stopped.
The Setting
The Pines sits in a quiet, picturesque hamlet just a mile from Richmond, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and a short drive from the North York Moors. Completely private and surrounded by an arboretum of trees, it's somewhere you can be genuinely alone with nature, yet close enough to a market town when you want it. Days here are measured in running water, wind in the trees and changing light through the leaves.
